Create a team

The matching is always based on one team within Microsoft Teams. All people you want to connect through Coffee-Breaks need to be in one team. Theoretically you can add the Crewting app to an existing team, but we recommend creating a new one.

Click on See all your teams at the bottom of the chat list in Microsoft Teams, and create a new team on the top right

Create a new team, choose a name for the team, select Public (recommended) or Private, and choose a name for the channel. Be creative choosing the name, e.g., Your Company Name + Coffee-Break. You can also add a description, like "Meet your colleagues and get to know new people in Coffee-Breaks. ☕️"

|| Tip: The quickest and easiest way to integrate the Coffee Break app is to use the onboarding guide. The onboarding guide appears directly after the download. Based on our experience, the guide allows you to set up the app in just a few steps. The selected settings can be edited at any time and additional configurations can be added.

Install the Coffee-Break ☕️ - Crewting app

Click Add to Slack and choose your Slack workspace.

Start a new configuration

To set up your first Coffee-Break, you will need to start a new configuration. Don't worry, it only takes a minute.

Choose a video solution

You can choose between Crewting Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet. If you want to add ice breaker questions or a quiz to the Coffee Breaks, you need to set up Crewting Meet.

|| If you want to use Microsoft Teams Meetings or Google Meet as a video option. You first need to connect the specific video solution in the admin settings under Integrations.

Configure your individual matching

There are several matching options to choose from. Simply choose the settings that work best for your team.

|| If you want to add Crewting to a private channel, you must first add the Coffee-Break app to that channel. Please open the specific channel in Slack and add the Coffee-Break Crewting app via integrations.

Link calendar

Link your calendar in the app settings via Link calendar directly under your availabilities so that Crewting can take your personal appointments into account when planning Coffee-Breaks. To do this, click on Link calendar and connect your Google or Outlook calendar with Crewting.

Change availability

In the settings of the Coffee Break app, you will find your availability times when you would like to be invited to Coffee-Breaks with your colleagues.

The default times are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. If you would like to change your availability, you can do so in the Coffee-Break app settings.
