1. Install the Coffee-Break ☕️ - Crewting app

Click Add to Slack and choose your Slack workspace.

2. Start a new configuration 🙌

To set up your first Coffee-Break, you will need to start a new configuration. Don't worry, it only takes a minute.

3. Choose your boost 🎙️

The boost is the type of our unique content moderation used in your Coffee-Break. If you don't want to use our interactive moderation, you can also choose the Coffee Kitchen.

4. Configure your Matching Settings ⚙️

There are several matching options to choose from. Simply choose the settings that work best for your team.

5. Match now 🪄

There's no need to wait to be matched based on your settings. Match right after setup and dive into your new connections.

Open the Coffee-Break ☕️ - Crewting App in the Microsoft Teams Store, click on Install and select the desired team.

2. Start a new configuration 🙌

To set up the Coffee-Breaks, a new configuration must be started. Don't worry, it only takes a minute.

3. Choose your boost 🎙️

The boost controls our unique content moderation, which immediately breaks the ice between colleagues in Coffee-Breaks. If this is not desired, the Just Coffee boost can be selected without interactive moderation.

4. Configure your Matching Settings ⚙️

There are several matching options to choose from. Simply choose the settings that work best for your team.

5. Match now 🪄

Scheduling coffee breaks

You will receive suggestions for upcoming coffee breaks directly via your direct messages in Slack. As soon as you have received the dates, you can select the suggestions that suit you or suggest an alternative date. A suitable topic can also be selected for the topic talk.

Invitations

After everyone has voted for a date, we send a suitable invitation to all participants in Slack:

To be able to receive the coffee break invitations by email for your calendar, the notifications must be activated in the coffee break settings in Slack:

1 hour and 5 minutes before the coffee break starts, you will receive a notification in Slack, which you can use to join directly. Alternatively, you can also join the coffee break via the link in your calendar entry.

In this article you will find the setting options for employees:

Scheduling Coffee-Breaks

|| To receive invitations through our chatbot, you will need to sign in to the Coffee-Break app once. You can find the Coffee-Break app in the navigation bar at the top of your team in MS Teams.

Once you sign in to the Coffee-Break app, you will receive suggestions for upcoming Coffee-Breaks directly from a group chat in MS Teams that includes the other participants. Once you receive the dates, you can select the ones that are convenient for you or suggest an alternative date. You can also choose an icebreaker coffee topic.

Invitations

After everyone has voted for a date, we will send a corresponding invitation to all participants in teams and, if you have already signed up with Crewting, also by calendar invitation.

Coffee-Break participation

1 hour and 5 minutes before the coffee break starts, you will receive a notification in Teams, which you can use to join directly. Alternatively, you can also join the Coffee-Break via the link in your calendar entry.

People who have admin rights in teams can manage the matching settings for Coffee-Breaks. The settings can be found in the respective team in the top navigation bar under Coffee-Break ☕️ - Crewting - Admin settings.

Coffee-Breaks are automatically generated and sent as soon as a matching has been created. A new matching can be created under Start new configuration. You can set up as many configurations as you like. Configurations can always be edited in the Admin Settings.

In the first step of the configuration, a boost can be selected to determine the type of moderation during the Coffee-Breaks:

Quiz Coffee is an interactive quiz in which colleagues get to know each other better in a playful way by asking personal questions
In Icebreaker Coffees, participants are asked exciting questions about their own interests, which immediately break the ice and get people talking.
The eyeConnect Boost includes conversation starters that lead to meaningful connections. Based on the physical game for team building.
In the Just Coffee Boost, participants can decide for themselves how they want to organize the Coffee-Break.

The following settings can be made in the second step of the configuration:

Name of the campaign (This name also appears on the calendar invitation)
Number of people per Coffee
