Create a new Coffee-Break configuration

People who have admin permissions in Slack can manage the matching settings for Coffee-Breaks. The settings can be found in the left-hand navigation bar under Apps - Coffee Break - Crewting.

Coffee-Breaks are automatically generated and sent as soon as a matching has been created. A new matching can be created under Start new configuration. You can create as many configurations as you like. The individual configurations can be customised at any time via the admin settings.

In the first step of the configuration, a boost can be selected to determine the type of moderation during the Coffee-Breaks:

✅ Quiz Coffee

Quiz Coffee is an interactive quiz that allows colleagues to get to know each other better in a fun Quiz by asking personal questions.

✅ Icebreaker Coffee

In Icebreaker Coffee, participants are asked exciting questions about their own interests that immediately break the ice and get people talking.

✅ eyeConnect

The eyeConnect Boost includes dialogue impulses that lead to strong bonds and is based on the physical team-building game of eyeConnect.

✅ Just Coffee

In the Just Coffee Boost, participants can decide for themselves how they want to organize the Coffee-Break

In the second step of the configuration, the individual settings for the matching can be made:

✅ Name of the matching campaign:

Each configuration can be personalized. The name is then also displayed on the corresponding calendar invitation.

✅ Channel

All people in the selected channel are taken into account for matching. One channel can be connected per configuration. If the selected channel is a private Slack channel, the app must first be added to this channel before it can be selected in a configuration. You can find a tip for this below.

✅ Number of people per Coffee-Break

2 to 12 people can be matched per Coffee-Break.

✅ Start date of the matching

The start date of this campaign can be set in the configuration. The first invitations are then sent on this date.

✅ Frequency of the matching

Based on this frequency, the Coffee-Breaks are automatically continued after the start date.

✅ Day on which the invitations to the Coffee-Breaks are sent out

The invitations to the Coffee-Breaks are sent out on this day. We recommend having the system send the invitations on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

✅ Time at which the invitations are sent out

The invitations to the Coffee-Breaks are sent out at this time. We recommend setting the times based on the employees' time zones.

✅ Algorithm settings

This setting can either be used for random matching or an AI can be used to ensure that matching is as varied as possible. When activated, past meetings are taken into account, among other things.

✅ Duration of the Coffee-Breaks

The duration of the Coffee-Breaks can be customized. As a rule, companies choose 15 - 20 minutes.

✅ Method for scheduling the Coffee-Breaks

You can choose between automated scheduling, manual scheduling or a mix of both.

Add Crewting to a private Slack channel

To add Crewting to a private channel, the Coffee-Break app must first be added to this channel. Please open the corresponding channel in Slack and add the Coffee-Break Crewting app via Integrations.

Add new admins

You can add a new admin from your workspace at any time. This person can then also create and manage configurations. You can find this function in the admin settings under Add new admins. Workspace admins are automatically also Crewting admins.

Further settings

Deactivate the option for users to block other users:

This function can be found in the admin settings under Other settings

Manage subscriptions

You can manage your subscriptions in your admin settings under Plans & Subscriptions - Manage. You'll also find your invoices there.
